Reunited and it feels so good!

If you've known me for long, you know I'm loyal.  Loyal to routine, processes and to my stuffed animals.  You know, the important stuff.  A long time ago, when I was little, my mother's day out teacher, Miss Debbie gave me a stuffed puppy dog to take on our trip to the Marshall Islands to adopt my little sister Ellie.  I loved Puppy.  That was her name, Puppy.  She made the long trip to RMI and back.  She made the trip around America in the RV.  I renamed her Ariel, because I love Ariel, The Little Mermaid, SOOO much.  Ariel made a great home in my backpack and she slept with me every night.  Every. Night.

Ariel rode in my back pack as we traveled to Kenya.  We watched movies together.  We ate dinner together.  We napped together. We shared our airplane blanket.  It was a great trip.  Mama packed up all my stuff, we got off the plane and we spent FOR-EVER at baggage claim and customs.  When we finally got in the van and I asked for Ariel.  Mama dug through my backpack and couldn't find Ariel.  She was still on the plane!  I was SOOOOOO sad.  I cried and cried.  Papa called the airline and they said they didn't find her.  It was really hard to sleep that night.

I slept with my other animals, but it wasn't the same.  I kept telling Mama that when we got on the plane to go back to America, Ariel would be waiting for me.  Mama said, she probably lives with another little girl, but I didn't want to believe it.  And you know what???  Mama was wrong!  Because, today, my Elf, Jasmine brought Ariel back!!!!  I'm so happy.  All I want to do is play with her and feed her and sleep with her.  She's my best dog ever.  Isn't she cute???

*Lucy's Mama here.  Thanks so much Granny for "finding" Ariel and Miss Susan for making sure she made it safely to Africa.  Lucy is one happy girl.

Fans Requested - I Answered

Give the people what the people want, right?  Well, you've asked for more Lucy, so I'll give you more Lucy. :)

I have been SUPER busy.  School, playing, carrying Ellie around, playing, helping Ellie, playing,  napping, resting.  I really like being a big sister, except when I don't.  Sometimes, I go in my room, shut my door and play in my bed without her.  It really is the only way to keep her from scratching me.  Mom says Ellie is a bully.  I don't know what that means, but she does hit me and scratch me a lot - oh and pull my hair.  I really don't like that very much.  But, I LOVE my sister.  She's my best.

I don't think I've updated you since I turned 5!  I'm 5 years old!  I'm a big girl, but I still suck my thumb.  So, mom and dad say I must still be a little girl, but what do they know??  I want to be a big girl, that should count for something.  Want to see some pictures from my birthday party?  It was a FROZEN party.
It was Florence's Birthday, too!  She's 5 just like me!

This is Hopey.  We go to school together.

Cupcakes!!
My favorite part of my birthday was the cupcakes.  I like to lick the icing off.  What do you like to do??

We're having Thanksgiving at my house tomorrow.  We have 2 REALLY BIG Turkeys.  I'm SO excited. Oooo, dad's home, gotta run!

Hello from Kenya!

In case you are new here, my name is Lucy, I'm almost 5 years old and I am now officially an MK (Missionary Kid).  I don't really know how that's different than any other kind of kid, but that's what THEY (the adults in my life) tell me.  I thought I should start blogging again, since my my blog is titled "Lucy goes to Africa," and now I LIVE in Africa.

For now, I'll share with you my top 5 favorite photographs so far.

Ellie is learning to smile for the camera and I think this is her first photo bomb.

This is my new friend, Florence.  She doesn't speak very much English, but we still had lots of fun together.

Florence and I, taking tea.

Florence and her dad, Mr. Duncan.  He's our groundskeeper and I LOVE him SO much!!!

Working on my homeschool worksheets.  I also LOVE school.  It's my best.

Well, I need to run.  Time to play!

Love,

Lucy
